WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?
Perhaps you avoid social situations or you hate posing for photographs. Implants treatment can change people’s lives.
We will place a titanium implant underneath your gum. This will act as a root to support a perfect, brand new tooth – a dental crown individually engineered to perfectly blend in with your existing smile. As well as changing the way you feel about your smile, dental implants also make eating pleasurable once again.
With dental implants from White & Co. you can:

ABOUT YOUR DENTAL IMPLANT
We fit your bespoke crown after the implant has integrated with the jaw.
Securely attaches the crown to the implant.
The titanium implant fuses with the jawbone and acts as a foundation.
DENTAL IMPLANTS TREATMENT JOURNEY
Before surgery begins, we will take x-rays and scans of your mouth so we can create the perfect treatment plan.
We will give you a local anaesthetic before carefully inserting the titanium implants into the jaw bone. We will sew the gums above the site of the implant. In some cases, we can perform minimally-invasive microsurgery so stitches are not necessary.
In cases where stitches are required, we will remove them about a week later. The area is usually left to heal for at least three months before it can support the replacement dental crown.
We start to prepare the implant for the final crown. We begin by ensuring the bone and the implant are bonding together effectively. Then we place the abutment – the small piece that will connect the implant to the dental crown. Afterwards, we will take impressions of the mouth and send them to a dental technician. The technician will craft a ceramic crown to perfectly match the colour, shape and size of your existing tooth. (Please note: It is sometimes possible to place a crown at the same time as the implants.)
We place your beautiful tooth. It is a special day for both patient and dentist. We look forward to seeing you for follow-up appointments and hearing about all the positive changes to your lifestyle. (Please note: Treatment times and specifics vary from patient to patient. This guide is for illustration purposes only. )

Is dental implants treatment painful?
We perform these procedures with local anaesthetic so you should not feel any pain. Dental implants patients feel some discomfort in the days after treatment.
How long will my implants last?
Dental implants can last for years of you have a healthy, strong jawbone and if you take care of implants and crowns.
Could there be any complications with this treatment?
In a small number of cases, the implant does not fuse with the jawbone. In such cases, we take the implant out, leave the jaw to heal and can usually then place another implant.
How do I look after my dental implant and crown?
Brush your teeth in the usual way twice a day and have regular dental examinations. Our oral surgeon will give you further advice about taking care of your implant and crown.
Will dental implants affect the way I eat?
Yes. In most cases, there will be life-changing improvements to the eating experience.
