INVISALIGN® TREATMENT JOURNEY
A typical journey to a beautiful new smile
Put in your first set of aligners
Receiving your first set of custom-made aligners is a momentous occasion. The planning is over. You have officially started treatment and your teeth immediately begin to straighten.
Settle into an easy routine
After two or three days, you will be settling into your new oral health routine. It includes taking your aligners out to eat, brushing your teeth and clipping them back in.
Changing your aligners
Around day 8 you will be changing your aligners for the first time. Brush your teeth, put in your new aligners and you are already two weeks closer to beautiful, straight teeth.
Halfway through treatment
You will have noticed your teeth becoming straighter after just a few weeks. By now you will be able to see a real difference as your teeth move towards their final position.
Treatment is over

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Invisalign® treatment hurt?
Each new set of Invisalign aligners can make your teeth feel tender to begin with. The good news is this shows the treatment is working and you are on your way to straight teeth.
Will this treatment affect my eating?
While wearing aligners, the only thing you should consume is water. Take them out to eat or to drink anything other than water.
How should I look after my teeth, gums and aligners during treatment?
Keep your aligners clean by gently brushing them every time you take them out. Look after your teeth in the usual way with a good daily oral health routine.
Will this treatment affect my speech?
Most Invisalign patients report no overall problems with speech. For some patients, speech can be affected right at the start of treatment until they get used to having the aligners in their mouth.
Is this a safe treatment?
